Happy birthday to me, is how is ought to be...
This is Frances. She is a badger, and a little girl. She is drawn by Lillian Hoban, and featured in books by Russel Hoban. My favorite of these books is titled, "Bread and Jam for Frances". If you have read these books, what is your favorite scene or Frances song from them? I like her friend Albert, and her little sister, Gloria.

My favorite song is the one she sings to her poached eggs. So sad. So cute.
Like Holly, I'm a Bread and Jam for Francis fan. I can't quite decide between the egg song or the "I know how a jam jar feels...full of jam" one.
Abso-cute-ly!
I love the description of Frances' lunch, right down to the doily and salt and pepper shakers.
These books have probably saved many badgers' lives.
I've been thinking about France's "Happy birthday to me, that's the way it ought to be" song a lot lately, for some reason while I've been washing my hands. Can't think why.
